The 3M 89421 Full Facepiece Respirator (Medium) provides comprehensive respiratory and eye protection in a single unit — the full facepiece seal covers the entire face, eliminating the gap between safety glasses and a half-mask respirator that allows contaminated air to reach eyes and mucous membranes.
Full facepiece respirators are required when working with high-hazard materials or when combined respiratory and eye protection is needed in environments where splash or vapor eye exposure is a risk — including spray booth operations with solvent-based materials.
