3M 64926 Scotch-Brite™ Maroon Very Fine Hand Pad (, 20 pack) is a non-woven synthetic abrasive for surface scuffing, intercoat adhesion promotion, and pre-paint surface conditioning in automotive refinishing. Maroon Very Fine grade is the production standard for scuffing primer, sealer, and intercoats in automotive refinishing — the correct grade for intercoat adhesion promotion between coats.
Non-woven construction conforms to curved panels and body lines that conventional sandpaper bridges over, ensuring complete, consistent scuff coverage. Unlike sandpaper, Scotch-Brite pads don't load rapidly and continue cutting through contamination and surface oxidation throughout the pad's life. Hand pad format for direct application by hand in all areas including door jambs, pillars, and complex body detail areas.
