3M 30700 800 Grit Hookit™ Purple Clean Sanding Roll (2.75 in x 40 ft) is a premium aluminum oxide abrasive roll for DA orbital longboard and file sander applications in automotive body work. Purple abrasive mineral provides excellent anti-loading performance on primer surfacer and body filler — the dust-resistant mineral treatment significantly extends cut life between roll replacements compared to standard abrasives.
800 grit is the professional standard for fine primer sanding and pre-clearcoat surface preparation. Hook-and-loop (Hookit) attachment mounts directly to Hookit file sander backing pads for quick segment changes and secure, vibration-free sanding.
