3M 08610 Wind-Weld™ Ribbon Sealer (1/4in x 15ft) is a pre-formed ribbon of butyl-based sealant used in windshield and auto glass installation to provide a primary or secondary seal along the pinch weld channel. Applied to the vehicle's pinch weld or glass setting channel before windshield installation, it fills the gap and provides a weathertight, vibration-dampening seal between the glass and body structure.
Wind-Weld Ribbon Sealer is the professional standard for windshield setting bead applications — specified by OEM glass installation procedures and used by auto glass replacement shops nationwide.
